We are pleased to announce our first-ever scholarship! Since 2016, our executive boards have been working hard to establish a scholarship fund that we can now share with all undergraduate students in Connecticut. We hope that through this initiative, we can better serve our community by promoting and preserving our Filipino/Filipino-American culture.

Amount: $500

 

Requirements:

• Must be enrolled full-time as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Non-Graduating Senior at an institution of higher education in Connecticut

• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 (or higher)

• Must submit a copy (either official or unofficial) of full academic transcript

• Must submit a copy of resumé

• Must demonstrate active involvement in the Filipino/Filipino-American community

• Must be a deserving student of color but does not have to be of Filipino descent

Steps to Take:

2. Download the file as a word document or save to Google Drive.

3. Fill out the application and save as a pdf file.

4. Send all necessary documents (as pdf files) as email attachments to uconnfasascholarship@gmail.com with the subject line: 2017-2018 FASA Scholarship – (First and Last Name)

Things to Note: 

• This scholarship is open to students from all schools in Connecticut, not just UConn!

• Applications are reviewed by representatives from the Asian American Cultural Center at UConn and the Philippine-American Association of Connecticut, Inc., NOT by the FASA Executive Board

• Funds will be awarded before the start of the 2018 fall term
